This series is well received and widely used among many learners and courses. We think this is well designed in the balance of four skills, speaking, listening reading and writing. Chapters are based on basic dialog which is situated at everyday life and business occasion. We can recommend this because of its very practical design and concept.

Dictionary

If you just start learning Japanese and prepare text book such as Japanese for Busy People series, you do not have to hurry to purchase dictionary. We recommend you to go to bookshops or library and try many dictionaries and other materials by yourself. Depends which skill is most prior when you start, different dictionary must be chosen. Kana & Kanji writing

When you learn writing in Japanese original scripts (Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji), please try using additional teaching material positively, i.e. cards, workbook which contains many visual aid, etc. Also you may consider to make Kana cards and Kanji cards by yourself.
